Stripe payouts, booked for you.

Stripe keeps its fees and pays out the rest, so your bank shows one deposit while your books need everything behind it: each sale, the fees, the refunds, the transfer. Connect Stripe once and Caribooks books every payout in QuickBooks, the way you set it up.

Did Tuesday's Stripe payout make it into the books?

Caribooks✓

Yes. The $4,212.80 payout is booked:

Sales · 23 charges$4,402.10
Stripe fees−$148.30
Refund · invoice 1187−$41.00

The transfer to Chequing matches the deposit at the bank. Run the same check on September's payouts?

Yes, all of September.

Caribooks✓

How it works

  1. 01

    Connect Stripe

On Stripe's own consent page. No API keys to paste, no statement files to upload.

  2. 02

Set it up from your assistant

Copy the setup prompt into Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot. It reads your Stripe account and your books, proposes the holding account, the fee account, the items and the tax codes, and creates what's missing after your yes. You choose one entry per sale or one summary per payout.

  3. 03

Check the first payout, then let it run

The Payouts page shows the setup in plain words, the opening balance and the first payout in full. Once it looks right, each new payout is booked as it lands.

What it does

  • Records each sale as an invoice or a sales receipt, or adds the payment to the open invoice it pays.
  • Books fees, refunds and disputes, and each payout as a transfer to your bank.
  • Matches customers by email, then by name. Your assistant creates the missing ones at setup, after your yes; a new one later waits for your decision.
  • Books foreign charges at Stripe's own conversion rate, so the amounts match what landed.

What it doesn't do

  • Connect Square, PayPal, Shopify or Squarespace Payments yet. Stripe comes first; Squarespace stores that take payments through Stripe are covered by their Stripe account.
  • Rewrite what's already booked. A change to the setup applies from the next payout on.
  • Turn on multi-currency in QuickBooks.

Questions

I already use PayTraQer or Synder. Will it book twice?

Setup reads what an earlier connector booked (the Stripe ids in its notes) and starts after the last payout it covered.

One entry per sale, or one summary per payout?

It depends on your business, not on Stripe. A few customers and invoices you send: each sale. Many small sales: a summary per payout. The setup prompt shows both on your own last 90 days and recommends one.

Is anything booked before I check it?

No. The first payout is shown in full and waits for your click before anything is booked on its own.

Try it on your own books.

14 days, the whole product, no card. The trial starts when you connect QuickBooks.
