Claude (recommended)

  1. 1Create your Caribooks account and connect your QuickBooks company from the portal.
  2. 2Click the portal's "Claude → Caribooks" button: Claude opens with the connector prefilled. Click "Add".
  3. 3In the conversation, authorize Caribooks with your Caribooks account when Claude asks.
  4. 4On the first request, Claude asks permission to use each tool: pick "Always allow" so it stops interrupting you. You can also set this up front in Customize → Connectors → Caribooks → Tool permissions.
  5. 5That's it. Try: "Which invoices are overdue?"

ChatGPT (paid plans)

  1. 1ChatGPT requires a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business) and developer mode, on the web only.
  2. 2Settings → Security and login → enable "Developer mode".
  3. 3Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, click "+", name the connector "Caribooks" and paste the MCP URL shown in your portal.
  4. 4In each conversation, select Caribooks from the "Plus" menu before asking questions.
